Strip built kayaks are typically constructed of Alaskan White Cedar strips and accented with mahogany strips.  Designs can be very unique, bordering on whimsical.  Let us know what you have in mind and we can prepare sketches to give you an idea of what to expect.  These boats are very customizable and rarely are two ever built the same.

The following designs come from Nick Schade at Guillemot Kayaks, clearly our favorite kayak designer.  They are shown roughly to the same scale so you can compare designs.  Each kayak name is a link to the details for that boat (as I get to it, just ask in the mean time).  We have access to very detailed technical information on the predicted performance of each of these designs, so feel free to ask questions.

We are working on standard pricing, so until I get this page updated please email and ask for a quote.  Expect prices in the $4,000 to $6,000 range.
